Smooth experience, good facilities

We visited last month using a Ranger Pass for two children. Booking online was straightforward; I received a confirmation email instantly. On arrival, check-in was efficient, and the staff at the desk were polite. The facility itself was clean, and the animatronic dinosaurs were impressive and well-maintained. The kids particularly enjoyed the Interactive Games and the Fossil Hunt. Food and drink prices were a little high, but that's pretty standard for these types of venues. The play session length was just right, and we found parking easily at Bluewater. A solid choice for a family outing.

Had a blast with the kids

Took the kids last Saturday with a Discovery Pass, and they absolutely loved it. The Dino Jungle was a huge hit, they spent ages there. It was busy, but not overwhelmingly so. Pretty easy to book online, and everything went smoothly when we got there. Definitely a good day out.

Enjoyable, but a bit pricey

We went for a school holiday session with the Discovery Pass. The kids had a genuinely great time, especially in the Dino Basecamp area. The facilities were clean and the staff seemed to keep an eye on things. Booking online was simple enough. My only slight gripe would be the cost of the Food and Drink Vouchers; it added up quickly, and I felt the options could be a bit more varied for the price. Still, for a fun few hours, it delivered what it promised.

Fun time, easy entry

Booked a Toddler Play Session online. Entry was quick. Kids had fun in the soft play. It was clean enough. Worth it for a morning activity.

Good value with the Explorer Pass

I was looking for something fun for the kids that wouldn't break the bank. The Explorer Pass felt like a solid deal. We got a good few hours of play, and it included access to most things. Saved a bit by booking mid-week too. Overall, I felt like I got my money's worth for sure.

Best day out ever!

Oh my goodness, Dinotropolis was INCREDIBLE! We got the Explorer Pass and the kids just ran wild. The Dino Jungle was so cool, and they adored the Discovery Cove. Every single dinosaur was amazing. We had such a fantastic time, it was seriously the best. Will absolutely be coming back again, and telling everyone I know to go!

can we bring our own snacks or water bottles into Dinotropolis?

W William Perez 2 days ago
They're pretty strict about outside food, usually only allowed baby food or special dietary stuff. They have a cafe inside for food and drinks though.

I wouldn't count on it for a full picnic. Small water bottle might be okay but they really want you to buy from their cafe.

what kind of payment options do they accept online? just card or can you use like paypal or anything?

S Sam Hall 3 weeks ago
When I booked last, it was just standard card payments, Visa/Mastercard. Didn't see PayPal as an option then.

Pretty sure it's just debit/credit cards. Like most places these days. Quick and easy though.

thinking about bringing my little one, he's only 2. is there enough for him to do or is it mostly for older kids?

A Amber Jackson 2 weeks ago
They have a dedicated toddler area, the 'Dino Jungle' I think it's called. My 3-year-old loved it when we went. Plenty of softer stuff for the smaller ones.

It's pretty good for toddlers. My niece is 2.5 and she had a blast, especially in the discovery cove bit. Just gotta keep an eye on them in the main soft play though, older kids can get a bit wild.

is it worth going to Dinotropolis over somewhere like Legoland Discovery Centre or Oxygen Activeplay?

M Michelle Thomas 1 month ago
Totally different vibe. Dinotropolis is more soft play with a cool dino theme and some interactive stuff. Legoland is, well, Lego. Oxygen is more trampolines and ninja warrior type stuff. Depends what your kids are into really.

If your kids are obsessed with dinosaurs, then Dinotropolis is a no-brainer. It's not as huge as Legoland, but the animatronic dinosaurs are really cool and the soft play is excellent. For pure bouncing, Oxygen wins though.

how long do you actually get to play for? is it an all-day thing or are the sessions timed?

A Ashley Lee 3 weeks ago
Sessions are usually 90 minutes. It feels like a good amount of time, kids are usually pretty knackered by the end of it anyway!

S Sandra E. 3 weeks ago
It's not an all-day pass. I think most standard tickets are for a 1.5 hour slot, so plan accordingly if you want to grab food or anything after.
